San Antonio Rose is an amiably wacky mini-musical evenly divided between its "official" stars, The Merry Macs, and a strong cast of supporting clowns. Robert Paige plays roadhouse operator Con Conway, whose establishment is in danger of being squeezed out by its competition. Stranded entertainers Hope Holloway (Jane Frazee) and Gabby Trent (Eve Arden) decide to revivify Conway's establishment by staging an energetic floor show built around the talented Merry Macs. A rival club owner dispatches his two top hooligans Jigsaw Kennedy (Lon Chaney Jr.) and Benny the Bounce (Shemp Howard) to wreck Conway's club by posing as waiters, but the two stupes are easily cowed into submission--by the leading ladies!

ROH began its tour of the state of Texas last night. The Aztec Theater of San Antonio hosted the first night of State of the Art. The evening has been described as one of the best broadcasts in Honor Club this year (excluding PPVs) and was attended by international talents such as Atlantis, Lance Archer, Hurricane Helms or Thunder Rosa, among others. ROH fighters Flip Gordon and Marty Scurll made their return to the company. After a month in Japan fighting in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, both fighters returned to the United States. The Briscoes, on the other hand, were not present at the show due to a problem with their flights.

The day the spy Walter Klozett leaves prison, the brigade of Commissioner San Antonio (Philippe Gaste) is mobilized to recover an object that he stole from the Soviets and that France wants to recover. But neither San Antonio nor his deputy Bérurier know what it is. They fall into a trap set by Miss Ténébra, a busty spy in the pay of the Arabs who kidnaps them and sends them to the Middle East where the sweetest pleasures alternate with the most vile tortures. But they won't talk. San Antonio, finally released, returns to France. A bomb was grafted into his chest which would explode 24 hours later in case he persisted in not speaking. But the commissioner still does not know what the mysterious object he is looking for. The vision of a film will however allow him to establish an action plan.

South American Antonio is a simple man who crosses paths with rich oilman Mark Hunter who is hiding from divorce lawyers. Desperate Mark gives Antonio his car in hopes of keeping it out the clutches of his ex-wife. At first, excited Antonio finds the luxurious vehicle causes him nothing but trouble, so he sets out to track down his benefactor and return the car to him. Also released as “Antonio.”

In this black-and-white film from 1966 he talks about his past, his children and of good times and bad. Antonio Camaradino, florist and street musician, befriends a man robbed of his overcoat and money in a disreputable bar. Tony recognizes the man as Jorny, mayor of Avalonia, a straitlaced town where Tony was once arrested for playing his hurdy-gurdy. After this meeting, Tony's travels take him again to Avalonia. Camped on the outskirts of town, he meets June Ramsey, a cousin of the mayor's wife, ejected from town by the mayor because his reelection campaign is jeopardized by her having been seen in a roadhouse. Under considerable pressure because he wishes to conceal his previous encounter with Tony from the opposition, Jorny returns Tony's favor by asking June's forgiveness and inviting her to return to Avalonia. June accepts his apologies; she then follows Tony, with whom she has fallen in love.

My Antonio is a television show about Antonio Sabàto, Jr.'s attempt to find true love. Single women arrive in Hawaii to compete for Antonio's love but the competition becomes more of a soap opera when Antonio's mother comes into the picture and his ex-wife, Tully, returns proclaiming that she still loves him.

Standing tall as the best team at the end of the regular season, the San Antonio Spurs, led by the front court tandem of Tim Duncan and David Robinson, soared past their playoff opponents to claim their first NBA championship, leading fans everywhere to chant “Go Spurs Go!”
